With this single style web page design, I want to emphasize the tone and the mood of the book's story, which is a detective genre with mysterious one. I chose to have a blood effect as the background to capture the spookiness. My colors of choice was narrowed down to deep red, orange/yellow-ish, and black. The typeface was inspired by Victorian style with a twist of modern, which references back to the novel's period. Symbolic images were shown through out the site to lead viewer to continue scrolling down the page. They also add visual effect that reference to the book's story.
